THE
TAXI TALK

AND HOW A QUANTUM TALE WAS CREATED

The Taxi Talk was formed in 2014 as the band’s founder, Pablo Solana, was re-recording and reevaluating some of his past songs with Argentinian drummer Mariano Quintana. One thing led to another and they ended up with a bunch of songs that made for a demo CD and a first live incarnation of a proper band, which started touring in both selected and stinky places with the only intention of getting those augmented harmonies and guitar licks right. It ended up being the case, and they set to record their first proper disc, the enigmatically called The Energy of Delusion for reasons that were never clear to anybody. Producer Tores Crespo developed during that time the ability to draw gargantuan dicks while recording bass lines. More gigs followed in both selected and not so stinky places, people getting in and out of the band as if an operetta was in the works, more songs.

Superflumina was released a year later, as a CD and as a weird statement about the wonders of changes from minor to major keys, and vice versa. On a lazy Sunday afternoon, Alex caught the attention of super producer Nigel Walker, who has now become instrumental in finishing the third delivery by The Taxi Talk. The thingy will be ready soon, as Peri is already learning the words to the songs and Jose is out shopping for a more appropriate concert jacket. No, Jose, we did not like the blue one. The Taxi Talk are: Pablo Solana (guitars, vocals, songwriting); Peri (guitars, vocals); Cris G. Ferreiro (guitars); Jose Trillo (guitar, vocals); Fer Vilar (bass); David Sánchez (drumming); Jesus Ortiz (keys); Jorge Maldonado (percussion). Alex Adell manages the band and Nick Haughton runs the social media.
